Read MoreYou are Invited to EQUITY DAY!!
Please accept City Planning Commission to participate in their virtual Equity Day at the Los Angeles City Planning Commission on January 21, 2021 from 9 - 2 pm - https://planning.lacity.org/about/cpc-equity-day-2021. This link provides details about the day as well as a link to the detailed agenda. Your partnership is valued in their efforts to ensure that planning decisions promote equity across the city.
The goal of Equity Day is to listen to the citizens of Los Angeles and learn firsthand about the gaps in equity that bias the City’s planning and land use process. The desire is to hear from residents from all parts of the city, and in particular, those whose voices have been muted due to exclusionary practices in the past. The focus is on discovering the challenges, as well as the opportunities, to refine an approach as a decision-making body that contributes to the achievement of more equitable outcomes.
This event is part of a larger process to develop a framework to guide our decision making which we anticipate finalizing later this year.
